Mr. Akbar Bilgrami

Akbar Bilgrami founded Bridge Factor & holds over 40 years of International experience in banking and corporate finance. Before Establishing Bridge Factor in 2005 he headed the Management Consultancy Division of Grant Thornton (Pakistan Practice). Akbar has been involved in a number of projects in an advisory capacity covering Loan Syndications, acquisitions in the Banking, Telecom, Power and Manufacturing Sectors, as well as major privatisation transactions. Given his vast international experience and expansive network of contacts, Akbar has been instrumental in arranging equity and debt finance for major clients, structuring and negotiating mergers & acquisition deals, and providing negotiation support in complex transactions on the national and international front.

Laeeque Daneshmend

 Dr. Daneshmend has over 35 years of experience in the global mining sector, with a focus on Mining Technologies, Operational Excellence, and Digital Transformation, complemented by extensive exposure to and familiarity with Environmental, Social, and Governance aspects of minerals extraction. His extensive expertise, acquired through a combination of entrepreneurial endeavours, industrial consulting, and academic activities, spans the breadth of mining applications ranging from large surface mines to bulk underground hard rock operations, and commodities such as copper and other base metals through to gold, as well as metallurgical coal. His consulting clients have included major mining companies such as Barrick, Valé, and Teck – as well as major mining equipment vendors such as Caterpillar, Epiroc, Komatsu, and Sandvik. Laeeque received his Ph.D. from Imperial College, London with a specialization in Robotics and Automation. He holds the Chair in Mine-Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Ehsun Khan

Ehsun has more than 20 years of experience as an investment banker and has successfully worked on close to USD 10 billion in corporate finance transaction

Ehsun Khan is the Middle East representative for Bridgefactor, based out of Dubai, UAE.. His deal experience consists of transactions related to M&A and privatizations, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, as well as acting as a debt arrangement advisor for companies seeking corporate or project finance loans. His work experience includes roles at Citibank (NYC and London) and Morgan Stanley (London), BMA Capital (Karachi), TAIB Bank (Bahrain) and Protiviti (Dubai) Ehsun holds a BA degree in economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. He also has a Series 7 and Series 64 qualification from the SECP in NYC.

His experience in privatization sector spans on last 15 years where he worked on nearly USD 4 billion mandates which includes both sell side and buy side advisory. Ahmed has been instrumental in obtaining recognitions and accolades from reputed accreditation organizations including Euromoney, Bloomberg, Thomson, Factset, The Banker and CFA Association of Pakistan. Ahmad is a Chartered Accountant and fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Yasar holds with him more than 20 years of experience in project development and management, debt arrangement and structuring, fund management and financial advisory. He was the Chief Financial Officer of Foundation Power Company Daharki Limited before joining Bridge Factor, where he specialized in contract negotiation, finalization of project agreements and arrangement of financing. He brings with him intensive experience from the corporate sector having worked with Fauji Foundation, Private Power and Infrastructure Board and Petroleum Exploration (Pvt.) Limited. Yasar is a Chartered Accountant and fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Waseem is a founding Director of Bridge factor, Chartered Accountant and fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He holds more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure transactions, project evaluations, mergers & acquisitions, project management and system designing. Before Assisting in Establishing Bridge Factor he served with Grant Thornton (Pakistan practice) as manager consulting, and thereafter with Haliburton’s LMK Resources (a Geo-IT Company) as Manager Finance. Waseem has extensive experience and expertise in handling financial advisory assignments with respect to Infrastructure Projects including construction of highways/ roads, grain terminals at sea, multistory buildings/ complexes, housing colonies, dams and tunnels.
